TOPICAL - Essential oils that can be used topically, which means you can apply them directly on the skin or mix them with carrier oils or other personal care products. With essential oils, less is more! An application consists of 1-2 drops to affected area or to the bottoms of feet. Applying in small amounts, more frequently is better than one heavy application.

INTERNAL -You can add oils to beverages, take them in dōTERRA Veggie Caps, take dōTERRA essential oils supplements, or use them in your favorite recipes. Add a drop or two to an empty capsule. Use immediately or the oil will dissolve the capsule.

BATHS - Add 1-3 drops to bath water to help ease body aches, sooth emotions, or prepare for a good nights sleep. Avoid peppermint and spicy oils, such as cinnamon in the bath.
FLAVORING FOOD - Citrus oils are a great addition to smoothies or salad dressings. Cinnamon, Clove, and Cassia are great in backed goods. Start with small amounts! One drop will go a long way. A dropper top or a toothpick dipped into the bottle are good ways to limit the amount added to food. Its easy to over flavor!
PLASTICS - Essential oils, especially citrus can break down plastics. It is best to use glass containers with essential oils whenever you will be ingesting or using them on your body.
